DEFSEC Corporation was established in 2003 and is the holding and investment company of David E. Luxton, owner and President. DEFSEC’s principal business is strategic advisor engagements and the financing of private and public companies.

David Luxton was a former infantry combat officer, then served as a senior public official with the Canadian federal government and, on secondment, with the government of the United Kingdom.

He subsequently became a serial entrepreneur, founding and building businesses in the corporate services sector, sports franchising, public consulting, business publications and trade shows, and the defence and security sector, where he founded Simunition, the world leader in close quarters combat training and simulation, owned today by General Dynamics – Ordnance and Tactical Systems. He subsequently led the global build-out of Allen-Vanguard Corporation for several years from early stage to world leader in Counter-IED systems, and over the years has led financings of various kinds ranging from $10 million to hundreds of millions.

Today, Mr. Luxton serves as Chairman of DEFSEC Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq and TSXV: DFSC), a public company distinct from DEFSEC Corporation. He is a strategic advisor to universities, where he is also a guest lecturer, and created a credentialed certificate course for Executive Leadership in the Defence Industry. He holds several patents in the field of non-lethal munitions systems, and supports charities for veterans and their families.
